Position Title: Medical Director, Medical Affairs (JO-2107-5600)

Territories: Multiple

The Medical Director will oversee key aspects of the global Medical Affairs strategic plan and is a critical member of the global Medical Affairs team. This role serves as the internal medical lead responsible for contributing to and oversight of key aspects of the company’s products globally.

The Medical Director interacts closely with other groups within the company, including the Commercial Team, Global Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, and other departments.

Essential to success is an outstanding internal partnership with Clinical Development and Commercial. Outside the organization, the role assists healthcare professionals and payers to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes through evidence-based decisions.

Priority will be on clinical planning and execution for the U.S. launch of the company’s compound in myelofibrosis and lifecycle management planning for all of the company’s portfolio of compounds.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

  • MD Degree with 10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, within Medical Affairs is required.  
  • Previous experience with direct patient care and/or patient-centered outcomes clinical expertise.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with PhRMA code of conduct and with regulatory guidelines as they pertain to Phase IV activities.
